External Quality Assurer

Salary £37,000 plus benefits

We are currently seeking External Quality Assurer on a fulltime basis to ensure the quality and consistency of IMI qualifications, apprenticeship standards, accreditations, IMI Accredited & Quality Assured Programmes against IMI requirements and national standards along with regulatory requirements.

Based in and around the Oxfordshire area, you will provide support to IMI centres, as well as developing and continually reviewing external quality strategies and effectively risk assess your allocated centres.

You are required to be qualified up to level 3 or above in Heavy Vehicle, Bus & Coach or Land-Based, hold an internal quality assurance qualification and have a proven track record in carrying out quality assurance activities.

You will be able to identify any areas of non-compliance, high risk and development needs at centres and produce effective action plans.  You will provide advice and support on improving the performance, effectiveness, quality and consistency of IMI centre delivery of IMI products.

Lead End Point Assessor

Salary £34,000

As part of the Membership Products and Services team, you will coordinate a range of End Point Assessors and associated Assessment staff, some through individual contracts and others through associated partners via service level agreements (SLA).  You will ensure that End Point Assessments (EPA) are delivered to the required quality levels, as detailed by the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IFATE) and appointed External Quality Assurer, relevant to each Apprenticeship standard, ensuring all associated compliance is maintained at all centres.

You will also work closely with our internal Marketing Team to ensure IMI End Point Assessment Services are communicated to the sector and delivery partners, supporting the IMI becoming the first choice End Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) provider for the motor industry.

End-Point Assessor

It is our role to ensure end-point assessments are conducted and assessed consistently for all apprentices.

As part of our service at EPA stage, we are required to supply independent, specialist assessors who will be responsible for determining the final grade of an apprentice at the end of their apprenticeship. Grading criteria and assessor requirements will be stated within the assessment plan of an apprenticeship standard.

We are now looking to recruit specialist assessors to take on this independent role for upcoming EPA events at various locations throughout England. Currently, all roles will be on a consultancy basis, with daily rates plus expenses. Day rates will vary dependent on the type of assessor role fulfilled. Along with recruiting for individuals, we are also looking for partnership agreements with organisations who are prepared to provide their own staff at EPA events as independent assessors.
