Interested in becoming an MOT tester? New MOT testing service video released by DVSA
DVSA has released a new video showing a walkthrough of the new MOT testing service which is due to go live later in the year.
The video takes viewers through the main sections of the new service which will form the foundation of the revised process. However, there could be minor changes made to the screens on show by the time the new service goes live depending on what feedback the agency receives from the MOT trade.
The new video doesn't cover everything - DVSA plan to release further information about how each part of the new service will work some time later this year. You can view the video on YouTube at New MOT testing service demo.
If you have any questions or suggestions about the video and its contents please email them to DVSA at email@example.com.
The agency is also asking Authorised Examiners (AEs) and Nominated Testers (NTs) to check and update their email addresses within their VTS devices.
This is to make sure it can contact and send out relevant details ahead of the switchover to the new service which will take place between April and August this year.
This information will include emailing an online survey to AEs so they can confirm that they’re ready to switch to the new service later this year.
Instructions on how to check and update VTS details are available on the MOT Modernisation: update your VTS device details page on the GOV.UK website.
Alternatively, if you have any questions or suggestions about the new service please email them to firstname.lastname@example.org
