Swindon College Automotive department have been shortlisted for a prestigious IMI award, the leading awarding body for the retail motor industry.

Swindon College Automotive department have been shortlisted for a prestigious IMI award, the leading awarding body for the retail motor industry.

The Outstanding Achievers Awards recognise the achievements of students and staff from the IMI Awards approved centre network.

The area submitted their nomination form which included their outstanding practices and excellent learner success.

They were shortlisted and welcomed David Bloomfield who judged the area and met learners, employers and scrutinised the nomination form with Steven Woodward, Curriculum Area Manager.

Steve Woodward said:

"The feedback was positive and it was clear David enjoyed the day. Being shortlisted for this award is a fantastic achievement in itself. The area has only been an approved IMI Awards Centre for 12 months. I am proud of the team and the students. The recognition is really well deserved.

Approved Centre of the Year award is the premier award for all IMI Awards approved centres. It demonstrates to your staff, students, their employers and local businesses that your organisation is committed to the highest standards of training excellence."

The finalists will be announced on 26th September, and invited to attend the ceremony on 31st October, which will be attend HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
