CCEA and Ofqual have announced that there are plans to change the regulation of vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland.
Initially there are a number of legislative changes required in areas such as Apprenticeships. The aim is that these changes will be completed by the end of April 2016. Upon this time, CCEA Regulation will become the regulator for vocational qualifications in Northern Ireland.
After this time, qualifications offered only in Northern Ireland will be regulated by CCEA Regulation and will no longer be recognised by Ofqual.
