The History

The IMI Group of Companies coat of arms appears prominently on certificates awarded by IMI and is used as the authoritative stamp or signature. A major honour, it was originally received by the IMI in 1955 when the College of Heralds granted Arms to the Institute. The Armorial bearings represent the work of the Institute in Heraldic terms. The IMI Group of Companies coat of arms is a registered trade mark and can only be used with permission by the IMI.
